A note from Brooke, Founder of Red Barn Collections
A Holiday Hello from Vermont
Thank you for taking a moment to scan my postcard — it means more than you know. Many of you shopped with me for over a decade at markets in Utah and across the west. You visited my booth, shared your stories, and chose my journals as gifts for the people you care about most.
Time passed quickly over the last 18 months. Life changed. I moved. And for many of you, I simply disappeared from your weekend or annual festival routine. Some of you may have wondered if Red Barn Collections had quietly come to an end.
I’m writing to say:
I’m still here. Red Barn Collections is still here. And I’ve finally found my way home again.
Coming Home
Coming back to the hills of Vermont — the place I grew up — has stirred up a part of me I didn’t realize had gone quiet. Being here has reminded me why I started Red Barn Collections in the first place: the sense of place, the love of tradition, and the joy of creating things with my own hands.
The biggest update? I’m officially in my forever home. I’m unpacking, settling in, and diving into creative projects I’ve been dreaming about for years. The photo on this page is just a hint of what’s ahead.
While I’m no longer at the lovely markets where so many of you met me, I’m putting more heart into my website than ever before — so I can still share this journey with you, even from across the country.
Why You May Have Gotten a Postcard...
This isn't a marketing campaign — it is a genuine hello.
A thank-you.
A quiet tap on the shoulder to say I remember you, and I’m grateful.
After all these years, you are still part of the Red Barn story.
A Taste of Home
This holiday season marks a meaningful new chapter for Red Barn Collections with a return home to Vermont and the introduction of our very first gift basket.
This is an invitation to take part in something special by celebrating the flavors, makers, and traditions that define life in the Green Mountains.
Breakfast has long been cherished as one of the most comforting and joyful meals, making it the perfect place to begin.
I am excited to have created this bundle, with elements that are more than just a gift basket.
Together, they create a welcoming invitation to share in a homecoming, a love of breakfast traditions, and the simple joys found around the kitchen table.
Vermont Maple Gift Bundle
A tiny bundle filled with big Vermont charm. This ready-to-gift set pairs a handcrafted mini notebook made from an authentic Monopoly Vermont property card with pure maple syrup and handmade candy from the Silloway family farm — simple, nostalgic treats inspired by our sugaring traditions. Perfect for stockings, teachers, coworkers, hosts, and thoughtful little surprises.
À la carte $4.75+
What’s Ahead
Coming home hasn’t inspired just one basket — it’s opened a whole new chapter.
I’m developing a monthly series of small-batch gift sets featuring artisans and makers. The first basket of 2026 is already in the works and will be a Valentine themed “Hooked on You,” featuring John Farrow, a remarkable 81-year-old blacksmith and his wife Rachi Farrow, 80, an accomplished career painter and sculptor, whose craft and heart embody everything I love about this place. There’s so much story here in Vermont. I’m excited to bring it forward in the months ahead.
Rachi Farrow in 1994, was featured on the front cover inaugural color print issue of our local newspaper. She has been a prolific painter, scultptor, and art-activist for 80 years. A small piece of her work will be included in all of our February gift baskets. Hooked On You — is truly a love match-up. (Photo Credit: Bob Eddy)
If you’ve ever purchased a journal…If you stopped by my booth at a Utah market…If you gifted one of my pieces to someone you love…Please know how deeply grateful I am.This holiday season, I hope Red Barn brings warmth, nostalgia, and a reminder that our connection is still here — even after all these years. From my little workshop tucked in the basement of a purple/red barn in the Vermont mountains, thank you for being here. Warmly, Brooke Red Barn Collections
